Have you ever been to a place that is magic? A place where children smile in bliss and adults fly back to their childhood innocence? A place where you seem to walk into the movies of your childhood, those movies that you watched, hoping to become one of those beautiful princesses or one of those gallant heroes? If you take a day to visit Disneyland, you will be able to do this, and more.
It was a crisp, summer morning when I have left my hotel room to visit Disneyland Paris. It was time to find out if everything that I have heard about Disneyland Paris was true.
What I felt when I stepped into the sleeping beauty’s castle, was the smell of sweet candy floss and a sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area.
The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment.
Disneyland is an “open world,” where you explore, collect things, and meet characters in whatever sequence you choose, you might encounter Cinderella, Ariel, Winnie the Pooh, or the cast of Toy Story roaming around the park – though not all in the same place. Disneyland’s actors are trained to remain within “zones” applicable to their characters.
Fantasy land is about fairy tales; Tomorrow land is a voyage into the future.
Adventure land is a paradise for children and a treat for the adults. It is made up of various foreign lands that represent the jungles of Africa, Asia, and South America. A make-belief Caribbean town square has also been built into this area to give a tropical feel to the area. This area hosts rides such as the Pirates of the Caribbean (yes that is where the movies came from!), Swiss Family Robinson Tree house, and the Jungle Cruise. Frontier land has been built in reminiscent of the Wild West and the Rivers of America. This place has the looks of Rocky Mountains and railroads as it hosts rides such as the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Tom Sawyer Island.
Each of these lands could be its own theme park, but instead they’re part of something bigger, cleverly arranged around the central hub of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.
It’s all full of rides, shows, food, parades, shopping, Disney characters, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, flying elephants, giant teacups, a fairy-tale castle, moon rockets, and a scenic railway, believe me It really is the most amazing place on earth.
Where you can fly through Peter Pan’s never land or takes a ride into the world of Pinocchio. In Tomorrow land, you can warp into the Star Wars universe or fire lasers alongside Buzz Light-year. Each of these rides has a distinct storyline; Disneyland is a smorgasbord of Story World.
Children’s obsessive love affair with Disney has being going on for quite some time now, and it all started with Disneyland- A magic kingdom.
Actually Mickey Mouse is the linchpin to the whole magical kingdom..!! Who knew that the creation of one cartoon mouse would result in one of the greatest success stories of all time, and it all started with an entrepreneur named Walt Disney.
Walt had the ability to share his vision and dream with others and persuade them to believe in him and his ideas. It was a vision of a magical kingdom where children and parents could have fun together.
It is of no surprise that many adults have found Disneyworld to be an extremely entertaining, including me. Even though most of the rides are meant for the children, the adults can take pleasure in being inside an architectural piece of wonderland. It was my first time but to be honest I had a truly euphoric experience.
The Starlit Princess Waltz Show i watched thrice. The show includes Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine, Tiana, Belle, Aurora, Rapunzel and their respective Princes.
At the end of the day after sunset it was truly magical to see a stunning explosion of fireworks/ bonfire and special effects lighting up the night sky, when one can see calm water reflects the magic to perfection as the sound of enchantingly magical music drifts through the air.
Disneyland isn’t about escaping reality, but merely learning how to deal with reality better by mixing in just the right amount of fantasy.
Disney is a state of mind. It’s a figurative world that is left open for every individual to interpret in their own way.
