KARACHI: Mehrunisa V Lub U to hit cinemas this Eid.

Once again, Danish Taimoor is the lead character of the film and Yasir Nawaz is the brains behind the project. A meet-the-press event was held by the makers of the movie at Pearl Continental's Zaver Hall.

Celebrities chatted with reporters, journalists, bloggers, cameramen and other members of the audience at the red carpet event held before the press conference.

The host of the evening, Madiha Imam, took to the stage and invited the esteemed cast of the movie as well as the producers and directors to be seated. Danish Taimoor, Sana Javed, Yasir Nawaz and Amna Ilyas, among others, joined her on stage to answer questions related to the film.

Danish Taimoor was asked about the chemistry between him and Yasir Nawaz, since this was not the first time that he was working with the acclaimed director.

"I met Yasir bhai before the script for the movie was penned," he said. "He had explained to me the story and ever since then, I wanted to be a part of it."

Danish Taimoor spoke highly of Yasir Nawaz and said that he considered himself lucky to be working with him once again.

"To be honest, I'm very lucky that I once again got the opportunity to work with him. This is simply because every time that I work for Yasir Nawaz, I learn something," he said. "I believe this time even the audience will get to learn something when they watch the flick in theatres," he added.

Sana Javed shared her experiences of working in the movie as well. She also praised the cast of Mehrunisa V Lub U as well as the crew.

"My experience working for Yasir Nawaz and the whole team was great," she said. "Especially since the team was so talented and fabulous. This movie has every thing, from action, romance, comedy to adventure. I think for a director to put all of that into a single movie is amazing," she added.

Director Yasir Nawaz praised the whole cast and crew of the film. He urged Pakistanis in Pakistan and around the world to watch their film to support Pakistani cinema.

"I have made this film with my heart and Insha Allah, I will be successful," he said.

Nida Yasir spoke briefly on the occasion and said that she was just a silent producer who did not interfere or give her input on the movie a lot.

"However, where there was hair styling, make up or clothes involved, I always chimed in with my opinion," she said.

The making of two songs, Mehrunisa V Lub U and Badla were also screened for the audience to see. The august gathering were simply wowed with the hard work, dedication and craft that had been put into different elements of the movie.

The event came to an end with a scrumptious Iftar buffet which was enjoyed by all.
