Sonu Nigam addressed to the people via a press conference earlier this morning after facing incessant bashing. After his tweet where he stated that waking up to the sound of Azaan is forced religiousness, a storm was caused on the social media.

While speaking to the press Nigam mentioned that he only raised a social topic and not a religious one when he tweeted about being woken up by the sound of Azaan, and apologized “if someone thought otherwise”.

The singer mentioned that he also tweeted about temples and gurudwara which no one seemed to notice.
