Now, one day after the entire incident, Sonu stated that he stood by his statement and that he was against the use of loudspeakers in mosques and temples.

Sonu Nigam’s tweet had caused a backlash on Twitter, with many Indians questioning the singer’s right to rant against the Muslim call to prayer. He had also stated that he was against the use of loudspeakers in temples in a separate tweet.
