Pakistan’s prominent reality TV host, VJ and stunt performer Waqar Zaka was badly beaten up outside a restaurant in Clifton area of Karachi late Friday night.
The video of the assault has gone viral on social media websites.
In the video which was widely shared on Facebook and Twitter, unknown men can be seen speaking obscenities, slapping and dragging the TV host.
Waqar Zaka was reportedly taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
Speaking to media persons later, he confirmed the authenticity of the video.
“I was in a cafe for dinner at around 2am. I was alone and there was a group of eight to nine boys and girls. They started making my videos, to which I objected and asked how would they react if I did the same,” he said.
“This started the arguments. They asked me to come outside. When I walked out of the cafe, there were 10 to 12 security guards accompanying two men,” he said.

5.#MuslimBan
US President Donald Trump said late Wednesday that his plan to limit the entry of people from several Muslim countries was necessary because the world is “a total mess”.
“No it’s not the Muslim ban, but its countries that have tremendous terror,” Trump said.
Republican presidential contender Donald Trump’s demand that the U.S. stop allowing Muslims into the United States lit up social media, as critics of the proposal around the world took to Twitter and Facebook to express their outrage.
President Trump’s elevation of his chief political strategist to a major role in national security policy, and a White House order banning refugees from certain Muslim-majority countries from U.S. entry, appeared to come together as cause and effect over the weekend.
