Surgical Strike: Adnan Jaffar and Hina Dilpazeer call for Peace

Hina Dilpazeer
Samaa TV met with the cast and crew of the upcoming Pakistani movie Jeewan Hathi. The flick is a dark comedy directed by Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi.

The film was written by Fasih Bari Khan—man who carved a special niche for himself after he wrote famous drama “Quddusi Sahab ki bewah”.

Named as a dark comedy, the film considers media’s endless fixation on the appraisals diversion.

Jeewan Hathi is one of the 12 movies that were produced under Zee Network’s Zeal for Unity, paving the way for 12 producers – 6 from Pakistan and 6 from India – to showcase their movies at different worldwide film celebrations.

The cast of the film includes Indian Actor Naseerudin Shah, Samiya Mumtaz, Hina Dilpazeer, Safie Hassan, Fawad Khan (Not the Kapoor and Sons Guy), Adnan Jaffar, Nazarul Hassan and Kiran Tabeer.

While talking  of  the  movie, Hina said that the movie was a joyous ride which they relished together in full swing. The movie being comic showcases a very subtle issue   of our society, namely, morning shows that are being followed in many of the households today.

The movie delineates beautifully how these shows are manipulating families today in a way of its own as the story unfolds towards its climax.

Our conversation with the cast took a serious turn when we asked them questions related to recent escalation between India and Pakistan’.

The famous Bollywood actor Naseerudin Shah is playing a key role in the movie.

Talking to Adnan Jaffar, we asked, “Do you think Jeevan Haathi will leave a positive impact on both the nations?”

“It’s a work of art. And, it always brings the message of love. There is nothing better than the positive energy it gives you. Moreover, if it crosses the border then what can be better than this? Exchange of heated words and hatred will harm both neighbors,” says Adnan Jaffar.

Adnan also expressed his concern about the internal problems of India and Pakistan. He said, “Both countries have a lot of internal issues to cope with. We should first focus on these issues rather than war.”

“Every time dialogues are adversely affected by politics and conspiracy,” he added.

When we turned towards Hina Dilpazeer with the same question, she started her talk with a poetic expression,

“De Raha Hai Zehr-e-Ahista Asar Koi Hamain,
Ya Haqeeqat Mein Hamara Hunar Zinda Nahi”

She remarked, “Real artists do not have hatred in their heart, regardless they are from Pakistan or India. Artist is the ambassador of love and peace.”

“War, whatever be its reason, is not among the artists. This is exclusively a political scenario. Hence, exchange of hot words should be stopped from the both sides,” she noted.

It is yet to be seen how Jewan Hathi will do at the box office. But one thing is sure that sweet words of Hina Dilpazeer and Adnan Jaffer will strike many chords across the borders.

May peace be achieved through dialogue! We wish good luck for the cast and big success for the movie.
