LAHORE: Renowned Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali denied Indian media reports that claimed he would never travel to India in his lifetime following back to back cancellation of his concerts in the neighbouring country.

Exclusively talking to Samaa, the legendary singer said that he would perform in India once the prevailing law and order situation in the country improved.

The Indian media earlier reported that Ghulami Ali got disappointed over Hindu extremists behavior in India that led to cancellation of his programmes first in Mumbai and then in New Delhi.

The ghazal maestro was given an invitation to perform in New Delhi by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party after the cancellation of his Mumbai programme. The concert in the national capital was scheduled to be held on November 8.

But, Shiv Sena, a hardline Hindu nationalist party, had issued ultimatum for Delhi, saying it will not allow the concert to take place after which his concert in the India’s capital was cancelled. –Samaa
