MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's plea for interim bail was approved by the Mumbai High Court on Wednesday hours after he was convicted and sentenced to 5-year imprisonment by sessions court, Samaa reported.

Mumbai High Court approved a 2-day interim bail for Salman Khan after his council moved to the high court after police arrested the actor.

Salman Khan accompanied by his family members appeared before the sessions court amid high security. A large number of his fans was also present outside the court premises.

He pleaded not guilty before the court and offered to make biggest compensation to the affectees but the court convicted him in all the charges framed against him in the cases. – Samaa
