MUMBAI: An Indian court on Friday suspended the 5-year imprisonment sentence given to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan by a sessions court judge this week pertaining to the hit-and-run case, Samaa reported.

The high court ordered release of Salman Khan on bail while suspending the imprisonment sentence after the Kick protagonist filed an appeal over the decision of sessions court.

The single-judge bench of justice Abhay Thipsay suspended the five-year jail term after hearing arguments from both sides.

“We can fix a date in June or July whether he is guilty or not,” Justice Thipsay said. – Samaa
