Participants of exhibition on Pakistan Movement honoured

ISLAMABAD: The participants of rare
photographs exhibition portraying different aspects of life and
achievements of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali
Jinnah and Pakistan Movement were honoured and awarded
certificates here Tuesday.
In a ceremony held here, Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical
Complex Board Kamra, Air Marshal Khalid Chaudhry and Director
General Directorate of Films and Publication, Mrs. Sajida Iqbal
jointly distributed certificates among the participants of the
exhibition held at Fazaia Degree College Meraj Rebuild Factory
(MRF) Kamra the other day.
In his brief address, Air Marshal Khalid Chaudhry highlighted
the importance of exhibitions relating to Pakistan movement and
its history and said through this way the new generation can learn
about the sacrifices rendered by our forefathers for the cause of
freedom.
He thanked Directorate of Films and Publications for its
collaboration in arranging the exhibition and particularly
commended efforts of its Director General Sajida Iqbal for
reviving the institution. He also extended cooperation of PAC
Kamra in organizing such exhibitions in future as well.
On the occasion, Sajida Iqbal said such exhibitions help the viewers recall the struggle of Pakistan movement leaders
for independence.
The exhibition, she said provided an opportunity especially
the youth to see history of the country's independence in pictures.
Besides officials of PAC, senior officials of the Directorate of
Films and Publications and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting
were also present.
A large number of students from different educational
institutions visited the exhibition and witnessed the historic
moments of freedom struggle and life of Quaid-e-Azam with
their own eyes.
Rare photos, posters, documentaries, magazines and
permanent publications, prepared by Directorate of Films
and Publication were put on display in the exhibition.
The posters, depicting cultural and civilization aspects
of Pakistani society as well as places of tourists interests
in the country were also exhibited.
During the exhibition, the documentaries with an objective to
showcase the image of vibrant Pakistan were also shown.
Later, Chairman PAC Kamra awarded a special shield and a
PAF souvenir to Mrs. Sajida Iqbal.
