Many people nowadays struggle to find a purpose in what they do; many of them would much rather quit their job and pursue their passion.  However, turning your passion into profit is an art that not many know how to master, but with the right assistance and the right support, anything is possible. Moreover, technological advancements and digital innovations have transformed the entire business landscape in Pakistan to a great extent, thus opening up infinite possibilities for those pursuing their passion. An excellent example of a woman, who used all her available resources to pursue her passion despite the inevitable challenges, is Rabya Faisal, proud owner and baker of Redolence Cakes.

Rabiya’s love for baking developed merely from assisting her mother in the kitchen, baking bread and other baked goods for the rest of the family. Possessing a degree in food sciences, Rabya Faisal was well equipped to take on the challenge of transforming her passion into her profession. Her desire for creating something completely unique and her love for experimentation inspired her to take her passion onto a whole new level by establishing her delicious creations as a brand.

Though highly rewarding, Rabya’s journey to success hasn’t been easy. Starting out with limited resources and not enough money to meet their expenses, Rabya began her cake business without having the money to afford baking utensils or the proper moulds to even bake a cake. The success of Redolence Cakes is a true testament to how hard work and perseverance can really pay off in the end.

However, Rabya does not take sole credit for the success of Redolence Cakes, but instead attributes it to her loving and supportive husband, Faisal, who has played a pivotal role in the creation of their brand. Working as a team, Rabya and Faisal have built the entire business right from scratch. Starting from humble beginnings, together they have managed to expand their business and cater to a larger number of people than before. With a bigger kitchen comes a bigger dream, as Rabya and Faisal plan to take their business to soaring heights by establishing it at a national and international level.

Transforming a passion into a profession is never easy, but Rabya Faisal is a great example of how profitable it is to love what you do and do what you love, though a little support and the right assistance can go a long way.  “Do what you love and the money will follow” – Marsha Sinetar.
