Born in Hyderabad, Paras Jahanzeb has a distinctive personality coupled with anchoring experience for half a decade. She’s already anchored programs on Samaa TV previously. Her anchoring career started in December 2004. She has done her Masters in political science.

Amber Rahim Shamsi is an award-winning multi-media journalist, with wide-ranging experience in television, radio, online and the print media. Ms. Shamsi currently hosts a show at 8.00 PM on Samaa TV “Sawaal with Amber Shamsi”. Previously she hosted a news magazine morning show on Hum News and a critically acclaimed evening show on Dawn News. She has written opinion pieces for international websites and was a bilingual reporter, producer and presenter for the BBC World Service. Her reporting largely focused on human rights.
Ali Haider started his career in news in 2009 with Express News and ARY after a degree in Journalism. He branched off into programming at SAMAA TV and went on to work at other TV channels such as DawnNews, 24 News and Neo TV. He has returned to SAMAA TV to host its current affairs programme Awaz from January 2019.
Kiran Naz has an MA from the Federal Urdu University in Karachi. She started out in television hosting a children’s show on Indus TV and went on to work at Rung TV and Metro TV. Her career in news took off from CNBC & Aaj News and she even worked as a sports news anchor at Geo TV. She has been with SAMAA TV since 2012 where she has worked in many capacities, including hosting the 2013 and 2018 pre- and post-election transmissions, PSL coverage and now her own current affairs show “7 se 8”.
Farah yousaf has studied masters in political science from Punjab University. She started off her career as news anchor with Dunya news and after that worked for Ary news, Samaa, Dawn news, Abb Tak and 92. She joined Samaa again in 2015 and started hosting “Awam ki Awaz” program which is based on social issues.
Beena Khan started her journalistic career with an English morning daily, working and writing for different departments. She wrote on political economy, women’s issues, international issues before moving on to head the international desk. She then shifted her attention towards the electronic media, as a News Presenter and Reporter, she always had a flair for stories, and especially crime related stories. She has been part of the launching team of SAMAA, as a News Presenter and Anchor, and then she moved into production. She produces and hosts SAMAA’s longest running and pioneer in Crime Shows – Crime Scene.
Beena is an avid reader and always wants to learn new things and techniques and as a result she among her other many talents is a certified International Trainer of Trainers in communication skills, corporate communications, strategy planning. She got her certification from Germany. “Crime Scene” can be seen on Monday – Thursday at 05:05 PM.
Abida Hamid has been associated with the print, electronic media and advertising agencies for many years. She has worked as a journalist for a national English daily. She has also worked as a content producer and anchor for different current affairs shows and live transmissions and worked as a Creative Director for some leading ad agencies.
She has special interest in social issues, women rights, legal jurisprudence and research based projects. Watch her every Monday at 23:05 on Samaa TV fighting for justice only on Court Number 5.
