Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Malik Ahmad Khan addressing on the recent developments in the political landscape, expressed concerns over the lack of accountability for the May 9 tragedy.
In a press conference held in Lahore, Malik Ahmed Khan referenced past incidents of election rigging and called for action from the caretaker government to quell what he described as ‘anarchic’ activities.
Malik Ahmed Khan, Azma Bukhari and Ata Tarrar addressed a press conference on Sunday.
He said PTI forged a propaganda of 35 punctures in 2013 elections but party could not prove their allegations in the court and former Commissioner Rawalpindi allegations have no foundation as DC had nothing to do with with polling process. PMLN leader said former DC must provide proof of his statement and anti-Pakistan campaign was being run by a group from abroad.
He said PTI was misguiding the public about election results after the statement of former Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Chatah.
Azma Bukhari, also from PML-N, echoed similar sentiments, criticizing PTI and alleging connections between Liaquat Chatta and the ruling party.
Bukhari raised questions about the timing of certain revelations and accused PTI of fabricating stories to discredit opposition figures. She highlighted discrepancies in PTI's narratives and emphasized the need for the caretaker government to address threats against returning officers and electoral integrity.
PMLN leaders shed light on escalating tensions between PML-N and PTI, with both sides trading accusations and demanding action from the authorities.
It is pertinent to note that political atmosphere remains charged as allegations of the misconduct and manipulation continue to dominate the discourse.
