Caretaker Commerce Minister Gohar Ejaz resolved on Tuesday to propel Pakistan's economy towards the ambitious milestone of thousand billion dollars.
During his address at the Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference in Cairo, Ejaz recognised the notable economic challenges faced by Pakistan, Egypt, and North Africa.
Ejaz said, "Islamabad is currently directing its focus on the agricultural sector, with extensive acreage earmarked for corporate farming''.
He added, ''Pakistan is gearing up to produce a variety of agricultural commodities, including wheat, soybeans, and oilseeds, thereby contributing to the expansion of the livestock sector.''

The commerce minister underscored advancements in the livestock industry and the establishment of slaughterhouses to enhance meat imports.
''Actively participating in free trade agreements, Pakistan recently inked a significant deal with China. The country is actively exploring foreign investment opportunities,'' Ejaz said.
He emphasised the potential for Egyptian investors to export their products to Pakistan.
Ejaz envisioned a collaborative effort between Pakistan and Egypt to manufacture similar products.
He underscored the economic strength that can be achieved by Muslim countries through collective efforts, emphasising that a unified approach can generate substantial economic power.
Highlighting the plethora of investment opportunities in Pakistan, Ejaz said: ''The Egyptian investors have the prospect of exporting their products to Pakistan, fostering a reciprocal boost in economic growth''.
