Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman on Wednesday returned to Lahore Qalandars in the platinum round during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 drafting ceremony.

– Wanted to become player of tournament at World Cup –

Few days back, Zaman said that he wanted to become the player of the tournament at the 2023 World Cup.

Expressing his thoughts on the sidelines of the National T20 Cup in Karachi, Zaman said: “I tried to avail myself of whatever opportunity I had during the World Cup. It would have been great if we had make it to the semi-final or final."

Speaking about the victory against New Zealand in the World Cup match, Zaman said: “As we were chasing over a 400-run target, we wanted to move our game to the next level. I had to stick to the role of making batting for my partners easy by playing aggressive cricket.
