Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has announced that it accepts the overall results of the general elections held in the country.
According to foreign media reports, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami chief Shafiqur Rahman has said that the party accepts the results. He said that his party respect the rule of law.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Election Commission has issued the official gazette notification declaring the success of 297 members of parliament in the 13th National Parliamentary Elections.
European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) chief observer Ivars Ijabs has termed the elections in Bangladesh as credible and well organised. He said the 2026 parliamentary elections mark an important step towards the restoration of the democratic system and the supremacy of law.
