Bollywood’s “Mr. Perfectionist” Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is reportedly set to appear alongside actress Tamannaah Bhatia in the upcoming installment of the Ragini franchise, produced by Ekta Kapoor.
According to Indian media reports, the Ragini MMS franchise is making a comeback. However, the new film will not be titled Ragini MMS 3; instead, it will simply be called Ragini 3.
Director Shashank Ghosh will helm the project, while Sahir Raza is expected to transition into a creative role. Sources reveal that talks are ongoing with Tamannaah Bhatia and Junaid Khan for the lead roles, although no official announcement has yet been made.
Earlier reports had suggested that the film was shelved indefinitely, but recent developments indicate that the project is now back on track. There were also rumors about a change in director due to scheduling conflicts; however, it has now been confirmed that Shashank Ghosh remains attached to direct the film.
Ekta Kapoor, who produced the earlier installments, will once again back the project. The original Ragini MMS (2011) starred Rajkummar Rao and Kainaz Motivala, while its sequel, Ragini MMS 2 (2014), featured Sunny Leone and Sahil Prem in leading roles.
While the upcoming film is expected to continue the horror-thriller legacy of the franchise, specific plot details are currently being kept under wraps.
