Zayn Malik has revealed that his 5-year-old daughter, Khai, dreams of pursuing a career in K-pop.
Speaking on the Call Her Daddy podcast on February 11, the former One Direction singer shared his thoughts on his daughter’s early interest in the music industry.
During the podcast, Zayn said, “She definitely wants to be a K-Pop star. She’s big into K-Pop.” The singer expressed pride in her enthusiasm but also acknowledged the challenges of the music industry.
While reflecting on the possibility of Khai following in his footsteps, Zayn admitted he would personally prefer to keep her away from the industry. “I would like to keep her away from some of the headache that this job entails,” he said.
Supportive father despite concerns
Despite his reservations, Zayn emphasized that he would support his daughter’s dreams if pursuing a career in entertainment makes her happy. “I’m just gonna have to support her,” he added, highlighting the balance between parental guidance and encouragement.
In July 2025, Zayn shared a rare glimpse of himself and Khai at a BLACKPINK concert via Instagram Stories. The photo showed the father-daughter duo facing the crowd with hands raised, enjoying the performance. Zayn captioned it, “@Blackpinkofficial thank you :) Me & Khai loved it.”
Khai is the daughter of Zayn Malik and his ex-girlfriend, supermodel Gigi Hadid.
