Lahore Sessions Court has approved the forensic examination of Aroob Jatoi’s mobile phone in the ongoing betting app promotion case.
Aroob Jatoi, wife of Ducky Bhai, appeared in court with her lawyers, Usman and Aftab Advocate, for the hearing on her interim bail application.
Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ali Qureshi presided over the proceedings. The investigating officer requested the court to conduct a forensic analysis of Aroob Jatoi’s mobile, which the court granted.
The defense counsel requested that the forensic report, which might take more than a week to complete, be scheduled after Ramadan. The court extended Aroob Jatoi’s interim bail until March 24.
Judge Mansoor Qureshi also directed the accused to ensure her presence in future hearings, stating that no further exemptions from attendance would be allowed under interim bail.
A case against Aroob Jatoi has been registered by the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCCIA) in connection with the betting app promotion.
