Kapil Sharma has shared candid insights into his battle with depression at the age of 36 and how he navigated his career challenges.
The actor-comedian also addressed rumors surrounding a possible biopic.
In a recent interview with the Times of India, Kapil Sharma spoke openly about the personal challenges he faced during his life and career. The Firangi actor recalled, “Every phase had its own charm. Childhood was different. When my father was there, that phase was different. After he passed away in 2004, life went completely off track.”
Kapil explained that depression hit him hard in his mid-30s, impacting his professional and personal life. “Then I got another chance on TV and came back on track. At 36, depression hit me hard and I went completely down. People started saying, ‘He’s finished.’ Then I got married. Then the show came back. Then I did 300+ episodes again,” he shared.
He also highlighted that life is uncertain and that working with good intentions often leads to positive outcomes.
Career comeback
Despite the setbacks, Kapil Sharma successfully returned to television and continued to entertain audiences. His resilience has allowed him to reclaim his spot in the industry, with his show completing more than 300 episodes post-comeback.
The actor also continues to explore film projects, recently appearing in the sequel to his 2015 hit Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon alongside Manjot Singh, Warina Hussain, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan.
Kapil Sharma clarifies biopic rumours
