Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met with ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja at the PCB headquarters in Lahore to discuss the ongoing T20 World Cup controversy.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam was also present during the meeting.
According to sources, detailed discussions focused on the situation arising after Pakistan announced a boycott of its match against India. ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja reportedly tried to convince Pakistan to reconsider its decision.
Earlier, Imran Khwaja was welcomed by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi upon his arrival at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium. Prior to this, Chairman Naqvi had met with Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam, extending a warm welcome to the visiting official.
The discussions come as cricket authorities work to manage tensions surrounding the Pakistan-India clash scheduled during the T20 World Cup.
