An event marking the 100-year journey of the Hindu nationalist organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Mumbai took an unexpected turn when two major Bollywood superstars were spotted in attendance, with videos from the gathering quickly going viral on social media.
According to Indian media reports, the event was part of a two-day lecture series titled “100 Years of the Sangh Journey: New Horizons,” organized under the banner of RSS’s centenary celebrations. The series aims to reflect on the organization’s long journey and highlight its vision for the future.
Videos circulating on social media showed Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor attending the gathering - an appearance that few had anticipated. The visuals spread rapidly across platforms, triggering fresh discussions and debate online.
Reports noted that the videos drew attention not only because of the presence of high-profile film stars but also due to the nature of the event itself, prompting questions about what brought such prominent figures together at the same venue.
Salman Khan’s attendance at the RSS Vichar Mala event on February 7 particularly surprised many observers. The gathering reportedly included more than 900 notable personalities, including scientists, industrialists, artists, and influential figures from various fields.
Ranbir Kapoor was also seen at the event alongside filmmaker Subhash Ghai and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairman Prasoon Joshi.
Indian media further reported that the two-day program began on February 7 and will conclude on February 8 at Mumbai’s Nehru Centre Auditorium. Senior RSS leaders and other prominent speakers are scheduled to address the public on social, cultural, and national issues.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also addressed the gathering, outlining the organization’s priorities and vision.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is set to play the lead role in the patriotic film Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. According to reports, the film is scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.
Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, will be seen portraying Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One, which is planned for release on Diwali 2026. He will also appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love and War, expected to hit cinemas later in 2026.
