Afghan player Rahmanullah Gurbaz has withdrawn from playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Rahmanullah Gurbaz has confirmed his unavailability for the next season of the PSL, saying that he will not be available due to a busy schedule following the World Cup. He will be occupied with the work of his welfare organisation in Afghanistan.
It is pertinent to note that Gurbaz had been signed by Peshawar Zalmi as a direct player.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi had formally announced the direct signing of Afghanistan’s star wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz ahead of the 11th season. Welcoming the Afghan star, Peshawar Zalmi Chairman Javed Afridi said: “Welcome to the Zalmi family. We are proud to include Rahmanullah Gurbaz in our team. We expect that his presence will raise the team’s profile and that he will deliver strong performances on the field.”
