Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated on Wednesday that Pakistan will not play its scheduled World Cup match against India.
Speaking about the upcoming T20 World Cup, the prime minister said Pakistan’s position was clear and unequivocal. He said sport should remain separate from politics and that there should be no place for political considerations on the playing field.
The prime minister added that Pakistan had taken its stance after careful deliberation.
He said Pakistan should stand firmly with Bangladesh.
