Renowned Indian actor Rajinikanth has earned widespread appreciation after honoring a street cleaner for her exceptional honesty by gifting her a gold chain - an act that has sparked admiration across social media.
According to Indian media reports, the incident took place last month near a temple in Chennai, where a sanitation worker named Padma discovered a bag filled with jewelry while cleaning the street. Instead of keeping it, she immediately handed the bag over to the police.
Following an investigation, authorities traced the rightful owner and returned the valuables. In recognition of her integrity, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister awarded Padma a cash prize of ₹100,000.
Padma’s honest act soon caught public attention, reaching Rajinikanth as well. Deeply impressed, the South Indian film superstar invited her to his residence and presented her with a gold chain as a personal token of appreciation.
