The International Cricket Council (ICC) organisers are concerned following Pakistan’s announcement of a boycott.
The global cricket governing body has begun efforts to persuade the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). According to Indian media, the ICC has assigned Deputy Chairman Imran Khawja the task of contacting the Pakistan Cricket Board. Reports said that Imran Khawja will hold talks with the PCB regarding the T20 World Cup.
Imran Khawja, who represents the Singapore Cricket Association, is expected to discuss the T20 World Cup issue with the PCB and submit a report on his contacts to the ICC.
