Pakistan opener Saim Ayub has reclaimed the top position in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounder rankings following an outstanding performance against Australia.
According to the latest rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the 23-year-old Saim Ayub has overtaken Zimbabwe’s experienced all-rounder Sikandar Raza to move back to number one.
Saim Ayub impressed in the T20I series against Australia by scoring 119 runs and picking up three wickets, a performance that significantly boosted his ranking points.
Several other Pakistani players have also benefited in the updated rankings. Spinner Abrar Ahmed has climbed two places to reach second position in the T20I bowlers’ rankings and is now just 28 rating points behind the top-ranked bowler.
Mohammad Nawaz made notable gains after taking five wickets in the series. He jumped eight places to secure seventh position among T20I bowlers and also moved up one spot to fourth in the all-rounders’ rankings.
Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi rose five places to 19th position in the bowlers’ rankings.
In the batting rankings, both Saim Ayub and Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha recorded significant improvements. Saim Ayub moved up eight places to 27th, while Salman Ali Agha climbed 12 places to reach 29th position.
However, Sahibzada Farhan failed to make a strong impact against Australia and dropped two places to seventh in the rankings.
The latest ICC rankings reflect Pakistan players’ strong showing in the Australia series, particularly in the T20I format.
