Renowned Bollywood actors Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna are set to share the screen once again after nearly three decades.
The duo was last seen together in the iconic 1997 war film Border. Now, they are making a comeback as a pair through a serious and impactful courtroom drama titled Akka.
Netflix recently released the first teaser of its upcoming original film Akka. The teaser, which runs for over a minute, opens with a courtroom scene where Sunny Deol appears in the role of a seasoned lawyer named Sikandar Mehra.
Notably, Sunny Deol will be seen playing a lawyer after 33 years. He previously portrayed a lawyer in the 1993 award-winning film Damini.
In Akka, Akshaye Khanna is cast in the central antagonist’s role, facing a high-stakes legal case. The film’s narrative revolves around the delicate balance between law, morality, and justice.
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the film also features Dia Mirza and Tillotama Shome in significant roles.
The release date of Akka has not yet been announced.
