The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has become Pakistan’s largest sports brand as international media rights for the domestic marquee tournament have risen by 149 per cent.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, an increase in the value of the PSL’s international media rights reflects the league’s growing popularity and brand value. PSL CEO Salman Naseer said the record rise in international media rights compared with last year reflects global confidence in the PSL.
He added that the league is strengthening its position among the world’s leading competitions.
Tim Paine upbeat about coaching Sialkot Stallionz in PSL debut
Separately, Former Australia captain Tim Paine has expressed enthusiasm after being appointed head coach of the Pakistan Super League’s newest franchise, Sialkot Stallionz, ahead of the league’s 11th edition.
Paine will lead the Stallionz in their maiden appearance in the PSL, which is scheduled to be held from March 26 to May 3. In a video message shared on the franchise’s official social media platforms, Paine spoke about the opportunity to guide a new side in the competition.
