The United States space agency NASA has released a breathtaking image of a distant ‘stellar nursery’ - a region in deep space where new stars are born.
The image showcases a star-forming cloud known as Lupus 3, located hundreds of light-years away from Earth. The striking photograph was captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope and offers a rare glimpse into the earliest moments of star formation.
NASA scientist Monica Loubia said that although the image may appear eerie at first glance, it is in fact filled with signs of new life. She explained that Lupus 3 is a star-forming cloud situated approximately 500 light-years from Earth in the Scorpius constellation.
The image also reveals bright T Tauri stars, which are extremely young stars still in the early stages of their development.
According to scientists, such observations help astronomers better understand how stars like our Sun are formed and evolve over time.
