A major international name is set to light up the Pakistan Super League as Australian batting great Steve Smith has joined PSL 11. Sources confirm that the Sialkot Stallionz have successfully secured his signature after intense competition among franchises.
Sources say Steve Smith has officially signed with Sialkot Stallionz for the upcoming PSL 11 season. While all PSL franchises were in contact with the Australian star, Smith opted for Sialkot after receiving a better offer.
The franchise later confirmed the development, welcoming Smith as a “game changer” and a “powerhouse player” ahead of the new season.
Smith’s signing comes on the back of an impressive recent season in Australia’s domestic T20 competition. Sources say his excellent performances in the Big Bash League significantly increased interest from PSL teams.

Following reports, the Sialkot Stallionz officially announced Smith’s contract, expressing confidence that his presence will strengthen the squad. The franchise described him as a match-winner capable of changing games single-handedly.
Broadcast in India
Sources also revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to sell PSL 11 broadcast rights to any Indian company. As a result, PSL 11 matches will not be broadcast in India.
The decision is part of the PCB’s broader commercial and broadcast strategy for the league.

According to sources, Pakistan Super League 11 will be held from March 26 to May 3. Preparations are already underway as franchises finalize squads and overseas signings.
