The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) secretary-general, Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, arrived at the GHQ.
Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, met Major General Mohammed bin Saeed. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed, said ISPR. Emphasis was laid on regional security and enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism.
A reaffirmation was made of the joint strategy, intelligence sharing and the resolve to fight terrorism and extremism. The Field Marshal praised the IMCTC’s role in strengthening stability and coordinated counter-terrorism measures in the Islamic world.
Major General Mohammed bin Saeed acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism. The IMCTC secretary-general praised the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
He expressed the resolve to further strengthen institutional cooperation for peace, stability and security in the region.
