Renowned Bollywood actress Tabu has made an important revelation about her personal life, explaining why she never used her father’s surname.
In an interview, Tabu said that her parents separated when she was only three years old, after which she was raised by her mother and grandparents in Hyderabad. She explained that she does not remember spending time with her father, which is why her father’s name or surname never held any significance for her.
The actress shared that even during her school years, her name was recorded simply as Tabu or Fatima, and she never felt the need to use her father’s surname. She clarified that there is no bitterness or complaint attached to this decision, describing it as a natural choice shaped by her life circumstances.
Tabu further said that growing up in an environment surrounded by strong women helped her develop an independent mindset, and she has always been accustomed to making her own decisions.
