Lahore has entered the Basant mood, with preparations continuing in full swing across the city. Kite makers report strong demand for a wide range of designs. Colourful kites are being prepared for daytime flying, while white kites are being made for use at night.
Craftsmen are producing kites in one tawa and one-and-a-half tawa sizes, featuring various designs.
According to the artisans, all kites are being made in line with government's instructions. Each kite carries a printed QR code, as required under official guidelines.
