Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has declined to take part in the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League due to personal commitments.
Sources said on Wednesday that Maxwell informed a PSL franchise, which had approached him, that he was keen to play the league but wished to spend time with his family at present.
The franchises and players’ management have also reached out to Australian batter Steve Smith, England batter Jonny Bairstow, and England’s Joe Root.
Under league rules, each franchise is permitted to directly sign one elite foreign player.
