The simmering feud between Orry and Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan has taken a fresh turn.
Breaking his silence, the media personality has opened up about the bad blood, his viral remarks, and why he believes an apology from Amrita Singh is key to resolving the dispute.
Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani, has spoken publicly about his strained relationship with Sara Ali Khan.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, he confirmed that the tension between them is very real and ongoing.
He revealed that he unfollowed Sara on social media some time ago.
“I unfollowed Sara a while ago… and I haven’t followed Ibrahim in years,” he said.
Why Orry says he can’t move on
Orry suggested that the rift goes beyond online drama. He said that remaining friends with Sara would mean continuing to endure what he described as “trauma” caused by her mother, Amrita Singh.
According to him, that is something he can no longer accept. He added that an apology from Amrita Singh could change things in the future.
Addressing the controversial comment he made about Sara Ali Khan’s career, Orry maintained that he did nothing wrong.
“I don’t really think I said anything wrong about her… I just made a small joke taking a dig at her career,” he said.
He also claimed that Sara herself would not have taken the remark negatively.
However, the comment sparked widespread backlash online.
Comment that triggered outrage
The controversy escalated after Orry shared a video on Instagram on Monday, January 26. The clip was a spin on a viral reel by Amulya Rattan about civic sense.
In the video, Orry appeared in a blue mesh top with a printed bra outline. When a user commented, “Genuine question: What exactly is that bra holding together?” Orry replied, “Sara Ali Khan’s hits.”
The response was widely criticised and labelled “pathetic” by several social media users.
The viral comment came shortly after Sara Ali Khan and her brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan, unfollowed Orry on Instagram. The unfollow reportedly followed Orry’s reel titled “3 worst names,” where he listed Sara, Amrita, and Palak.
The names were linked to the same family circle. Amrita Singh is Sara and Ibrahim’s mother and the former wife of Saif Ali Khan, while Palak Tiwari is rumoured to be romantically involved with Ibrahim.
Despite the heated exchanges, Orry said the door is not completely closed. “If Amrita Singh were to apologise, I could maybe see myself letting it go in the future,” he said.
For now, however, the feud appears far from resolved.
On the work front, Sara Ali Khan was last seen in Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino.
She will next appear in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh.
