Islamabad United have decided to bring back form New Zealand wicketkeeper batter Luke Ronchi as their head coach for the forthcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the United owner, Ali Naqvi has made an announcement regarding the induction of Ronchi as the head coach. He has also expressed his gratitude to the fans for rallying behind the franchise for the past 10 editions of the domestic marquee tournament.

He wrote: “Thank you to all the fans for being a part of making Islamabad United the most successful team in the most successful team in the PSL. Your belief and passion have helped build this legacy with us.”
“Now it’s time to step into the new era with a true Sheru returning home. Welcome back, head coach Luke Ronchi. I am also very happy that Ronchi was, by far, the most obvious choice of #ISLU,” Naqvi maintained.
“Once a Sheru, always a Sheru,” he added.
It is pertinent to note that Ronchi had featured in 31 games for the United between 2017 and 2020. He compiled 1,020 runs and notched 10 half centuries.
