Renowned Bollywood actor Govinda, who once delivered a string of blockbuster films, has claimed that his nephew, actor and comedian Krushna Abhishek, is being used against him and is allegedly pressured into insulting him publicly.
Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have remained in the news due to ongoing tensions in their marital life. Recently, Sunita made serious allegations against her husband, which Govinda later described as part of a larger controversy.
According to Indian media reports, rumors of Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s divorce have been circulating for quite some time. In a previous interview, Sunita had alleged that Govinda was reportedly associated with a woman who was demanding money from the actor.
Breaking his silence on the matter, Govinda claimed that his wife and people close to him were being used as part of a larger conspiracy against him.
He also dragged his nephew Krushna Abhishek into the controversy, alleging that Krushna is being deliberately forced to insult him on television. Speaking to an Indian news agency, Govinda said that if one watches Krushna Abhishek’s TV shows carefully, it becomes evident that writers make him deliver lines that mock or demean him.
Govinda stated that he had warned Krushna that he was being used against him and advised him to remain cautious. He further added that whenever he tried to caution Krushna, Sunita would get upset, and he could never understand when family members were on good terms with each other and when they were not.
The actor appealed to his family members to refrain from making public statements, saying that situations should not be created that make his life suffocating. He emphasized that this request was directed especially toward his family.
Later, when Krushna Abhishek was asked about Govinda’s statement during an interview, he responded by saying that he loves and respects his uncle deeply. Krushna described Govinda as a legend with a 'next-level' mindset, adding that perhaps this is why he views things from a different perspective.
Krushna further explained that the same statement can appear positive to one person and sarcastic to another, but he chooses to take it in a positive sense.
It is worth noting that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were married in 1987 and have two children - a daughter, Tina, and a son, Yashvardhan.
