Veteran Pakistani television host Tauseeq Haider has once again found himself in the spotlight - this time due to a Shah Rukh Khan-inspired photoshoot that drew mixed reactions online.
Tauseeq Haider rose to widespread fame in the early 1990s through his memorable appearances as a live morning transmission host on PTV.
In recent years, he transitioned into acting and made his debut in a Turkish drama alongside Atiqa Odho.
He later received appreciation for his performances in popular television projects including Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Jafaa, Behroopia, and several other dramas. Alongside his on-screen work, Haider has remained active on social media, frequently sharing personal and creative content.
Recently, the actor shared photographs from a photoshoot set in mustard fields, clearly inspired by Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic look from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
The images were accompanied by the instrumental version of the classic song Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Jana Sanam. The post quickly went viral, following a similar SRK-inspired reel previously shared by social media personality Ken Doll, which had also sparked debate.
However, Haider’s DDLJ-inspired shoot triggered heavy trolling from netizens. Several users mocked the concept, with one commenting on the song’s lyrics, saying there was “no point in dying in someone’s arms now.”
Another wrote that no one could match Shah Rukh Khan, adding that the look did not suit Haider.

Others took a more personal tone, suggesting he should “find his Simran” before attempting such romantic recreations.

The photoshoot has since fueled a broader discussion on social media about celebrity tributes, ageism, and the fine line between homage and imitation.
