Samsung is gearing up to launch its next flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26, at a Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25.
The Ultra model will be the highlight of the 2026 lineup, featuring top-tier specifications.
Earlier speculation had suggested the inclusion of a Galaxy S26 Pro and an S26 Edge, with the Pro offering enhanced entry-level specs and the Edge focusing on a thin, stylish design. However, low demand for the S25 Edge and the competitive pricing of the iPhone 17 prompted Samsung to stick with its traditional Galaxy S lineup, even if it meant a slight delay in launch preparation.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series are expected to open the day after the launch, on February 26. In South Korea, the pre-order period is reported to run from February 26 to March 4, followed by a pre-sale window from March 5 to March 10. Whether these dates will be mirrored globally remains uncertain.
Samsung has historically offered attractive pre-order incentives, including boosted trade-in values and exclusive color options. Early adopters of the Galaxy S26 Ultra may also receive perks such as a free subscription to Google AI Pro. Additionally, Samsung’s “double storage” offer - upgrading storage based on the selected RAM variant - could return, although rising memory costs may affect this promotion.
With the Galaxy S26 Ultra poised to compete in the premium smartphone market, fans can expect a high-spec device paired with strategic offers, following Samsung’s approach in previous years.
