Former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has asked Pakistan to take part in the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the 45-year-old said Pakistan should participate in the 2026 World Cup.

Meanwhile, former captain Shahid Afridi criticised the ICC over the 'double standards' and expressed disappointment over the decision concerning Bangladesh. He said Indian concerns linked to the 2025 Champions Trophy were acknowledged, while no flexibility was shown in Bangladesh’s case.
Afridi said consistency and fairness formed the foundation of global cricket governance. He said Bangladesh’s players and millions of supporters deserved respect, not double standards.
Former captain Mohammad Yousuf also expressed regret over Bangladesh’s exclusion from the World Cup. He said the ICC should act as an international governing body rather than represent the interests of a single board.
