Former Pakistan red-ball coach Jason Gillespie has questioned the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) decision to replace Bangladesh with the Scotland national cricket team for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place from February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Gillespie said: “Has there been an explanation from the ICC why Bangladesh could not play their games outside of India?” He added: “From memory, India refused to play Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan and they were allowed to play those games outside of Pakistan.”
