The Pakistan national hockey team have decided to continue their boycott of training after talks between the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and the players failed.
Sources said on Friday that the issue of delayed payments to national hockey players remains unresolved. The PHF’s attempt to persuade the players was unsuccessful. Negotiations between the PHF officials and the national team did not yield any breakthrough, and the players refused to step back from their stance.
The players decided to continue the training boycott despite requests from PHF officials to keep the camp running. PHF President Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti attended the meeting and assured the players that all outstanding dues would be cleared by next Friday.
In response, the players conveyed that they would remain in the camp but would not take part in training under any circumstances. They maintained that participation in training would only resume once all dues were fully paid.
