In a strange and unusual incident, a mobile phone shop in Libya has received a delivery of Nokia phones - 16 years after placing the original order.
A shopkeeper in Tripoli had ordered the Nokia phones back in 2010. However, the outbreak of civil war and prolonged political instability in Libya in 2011 severely disrupted the country’s logistics, customs, and trade systems.
As a result, the shipment remained stuck in warehouses and was never delivered. Earlier this month, in 2026, the long-lost package finally arrived - completely intact. Upon opening it, the shopkeeper was left stunned, and the incident quickly became a source of amazement for others as well.
The phones turned out to be classic Nokia models, now considered relics from a bygone era in today’s age of smartphones.
In videos circulating online, the shopkeeper and others can be seen laughing and joking as they examine the phones, humorously referring to them as valuable antiques from the past.
