Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs have been named in South Africa’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, replacing the injured Tony de Zorzi and Donovan Ferreira.
South Africa have made two changes to their batting line-up for next month’s tournament in India and Sri Lanka after De Zorzi and Ferreira withdrew through injury. De Zorzi is sidelined with a hamstring problem, while Ferreira has suffered a fractured clavicle. David Miller will also undergo a fitness test.
Rickelton and Stubbs come into the squad after missing out on the original selection, a decision that had drawn attention at the time of the announcement.
Miller has an adductor muscle injury and will miss the three-match home T20 series against West Indies, which begins on Tuesday. He remains a doubt for the World Cup, pending his recovery.
Rubin Hermann, who has shown strong form in the ongoing SA20 tournament, will take Miller’s place for the West Indies series.
South Africa begin their World Cup campaign against Canada in Ahmedabad on February 9. They will also face Afghanistan, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates in their group.
