Former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh has slammed the batting shortcomings of former Pakistan captain Babar Azam in the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).
Expressing his thoughts on Azam’s performance in the BBL, Waugh said: “If I was in the team, Babar Azam might have been dropped from the team. He is a fantastic player. But you have got to make right decisions in the T20 cricket.”
Waugh stressed the need for bringing changes into the Sydney Sixers’ playing XI to give them hope to survive in the competition.
It is pertinent to note that Azam had only managed to compile 202 runs in 11 matches on his maiden appearance in the BBL.
