US President Donald Trump on Tuesday marked the completion of one year of his presidency with a nearly two-and-a-half-hour press briefing at the White House, outlining what he described as major domestic and global achievements.
Waving documents detailing his administration’s accomplishments, President Trump said his government had ended “eight long and difficult wars” within 10 months. He claimed these conflicts were previously considered “endless wars” and said global peace efforts had progressed without meaningful help from the United Nations.
Pakistan–India war claims repeated
Trump once again took credit for stopping a potential war between Pakistan and India, saying both nuclear-armed nations had reached the brink of nuclear conflict. He claimed eight aircraft were shot down during the standoff and said Pakistan’s prime minister later told him he had “saved the lives of 10 million people.”

The US president said the United Nations “did not help stop a single war” that he claimed to have resolved. “I wish the UN could play a more effective role. I wish the Peace Board would not even be needed,” Trump told reporters.
Establishment of ‘Peace Board’
Trump said his administration had recently established a “Peace Board,” stressing that it was not meant to replace the United Nations. He described the initiative as “a wonderful step” aimed at resolving global conflicts more effectively.
In a separate statement shared on social media, Trump lashed out at NATO, saying no one had worked more for the alliance than he had.

“Without me, NATO would have been in the dustbin of history,” he said, adding that whatever the US decides regarding Greenland would ultimately benefit NATO allies.
Iran, Venezuela military operations
Trump claimed his administration had eliminated Iran’s nuclear capability and referenced “Operation Midnight Hammer” against Tehran.
He accused CNN of planting a fake story about the operation and said the US had also taken action to bring Venezuela’s “illegitimate ruler,” Nicolas Maduro, to justice, while praising Venezuela’s interim president and saying oil companies were preparing to invest heavily there.
Immigration, refugees, domestic security
The US president said his administration had suspended the entry of refugees from what he called “dangerous countries,” including Somalia, and criticized foreign-born politicians for trying to “teach America how to run itself.”
He praised Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as “patriotic,” saying no one had entered the country illegally for eight months and that authorities would soon target drug dealers entering by land.

Trump claimed the US stock market had reached new highs and said inflation from the Joe Biden era had ended.
He said his return to power brought investment, launched thousands of businesses, and strengthened law enforcement efforts against drug networks, including operations linked to Venezuela.
Trump told reporters he was “eagerly awaited” in Switzerland for upcoming engagements and reiterated that his administration would continue focusing on security, economic growth, and what he described as restoring America’s global standing.
