Indian actress Sara Arjun has shared fresh details about Dhurandhar Part 2, as the sequel gears up for release.
Speaking about her role and upcoming projects, she said audiences can expect a bigger and more intense continuation of the story.
Sara Arjun, who played Yalina Jamali in Dhurandhar, spoke about the sequel while discussing her upcoming projects.
In an interview with NDTV, the actress said the second part builds on the success of the first film. “People have expectations after part one. Part two has more of everything that viewers liked,” she said, pointing to increased action and a stronger storyline.
In the first film, Sara portrayed Yalina Jamali, the daughter of a Pakistani politician.
She said she spent considerable time understanding the character before filming. “We discussed her journey in detail. I wanted to understand how she thinks and feels,” Sara explained, highlighting her preparation process.
Stronger character arc in sequel
According to Sara, Yalina’s character evolves significantly in Dhurandhar Part 2.
“The real depth of Yalina’s character came in part two,” the Saivam actress said, adding that the sequel allowed her role to grow emotionally and narratively.
Sara also spoke about Euphoria, her first Telugu film in a lead role.
The film follows the lives of children in conflict with the law. Sara said she agreed to the project because of its powerful story. “The character showed strength and resilience. The story moved me,” she said.
‘Stories matter more than language’
Reflecting on her work across different film industries, Sara said she no longer views cinema through regional boundaries.
“Cinema felt the same everywhere now. Stories mattered more than language,” she said, underlining her focus on meaningful roles rather than regional labels.
When asked about her future projects, Sara said she has not planned her next steps yet.
“Nothing was decided yet, and I was okay with that,” she said, suggesting she is open to exploring roles that resonate with her creatively.
