Fresh leaks around the Google Pixel 10a suggest the phone will launch earlier than usual, but its pricing strategy may disappoint buyers hoping for a cheaper upgrade.
Based on multiple leaks, it is now widely expected that Google will unveil the Pixel 10a much earlier than its traditional release window. While reports initially conflicted on availability, a recent leak indicates retail sales will begin in early March.
Further details now provide clarity on pricing and availability in one of Google’s key European markets.
Storage options remain familiar
According to information shared by French outlet , the Pixel 10a will be offered in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. Both models are expected to ship with 8GB of RAM as standard.
However, Google appears set to stick with 128GB as the base storage option for the fourth consecutive year, a decision that may frustrate some buyers.
The Pixel 10a is expected to launch in Obsidian, Fog, Lavender, and Berry color options. Unlike previous years, both storage variants will reportedly be available in all color choices.
This marks a small but welcome change in Google’s approach to the Pixel A-series lineup.
Minimal hardware changes expected
Leaks suggest the Pixel 10a will be largely identical to the Pixel 9a, with little to no hardware upgrades. The phone is expected to retain the same 6.3-inch OLED display, Tensor G4 processor, and rear camera setup.
As a result, the Pixel 10a may feel more like a rebranded refresh than a meaningful generational upgrade.
Prices
According to the latest leak, Google plans to keep pricing unchanged in the EU. The 128GB Pixel 10a is expected to cost €549, while the 256GB model will reportedly carry a €100 premium.
This contradicts earlier reports that suggested the phone would be €50 cheaper in Europe.
The report suggests Google may have adjusted its pricing plans due to ongoing DRAM and NAND shortages. Rising component costs across the industry could explain why Google chose not to lower prices this year.
Even so, paying the same price for a largely unchanged device could be a tough sell for some consumers.
Leaks indicate Google will open Pixel 10a pre-orders on February 18, 2026, at around 6 PM French time. The official announcement may take place the same day or shortly before.
Retail availability is reportedly scheduled for March 5, 2026, with Google expected to follow a similar release timeline for the US market.
