A new controversy has emerged between Bollywood actress and Member of Parliament Kangana Ranaut and acclaimed musician AR Rahman.
According to Indian media, Kangana Ranaut alleged that AR Rahman not only refused to meet her regarding her directed film Emergency but also labeled it as a propaganda film.
Kangana shared a screenshot of AR Rahman on social media, writing that he is ‘blinded by hatred’ and expressing her disappointment. She added that she faces bias in the industry due to her political affiliations, with AR Rahman being a clear example of this.
The actor claimed that Emergency received praise from critics and opposition leaders alike, yet the musician maintained a negative stance. This dispute has surfaced shortly after AR Rahman had already described the film Chhawa as divisive.
